On June 3, the festival "Books of Russia" was opened at the Red Square in Moscow. The publishing house of Maria and Viktor Kotlyarov from Kabardino-Balkaria presents its products at the festival. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Viktor Kotlyarov, the editor-in-chief of the publishing house.

"One of the series is entitled 'The Caucasus'. It introduces readers to the pre-revolutionary publications of European and Russian travellers, scientists, whose documents were not reprinted for centuries, as well as to the works of modern researchers of the region," said Viktor Kotlyarov.

The series includes more than 20 volumes, telling readers about the history, politics, morals, and spiritual culture of the peoples of the Caucasus.

Viktor Kotlyarov has emphasized that the three-volume book entitled "The Cossacks", composed by Maria and Viktor Kotlyarov and released in 2015, became a laureate of the 25th professional contest of the Association of Book Publishers of Russia "Best Book of the Year". On June 3, the publishers were awarded the medal "For merits in the book business."

Since 2011, the books of the Nalchik publishing house were four times mentioned among the best books in Russia, and the book entitled "Unknown Kabardino-Balkaria" was called by the Russian Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications one of the five best works of local history released in 2013.
