"Chernovik": Djalaldinov's house burnt down in Kenkhi

Late at night on May 12, in the village of Kenkhi, Sharoi District of Chechnya, unidentified masked persons burned down the house of Ramazan Djalaldinov, who had complained to Putin about corruption flourishing in the district, the weekly named "Chernovik" (Draft) reports today with reference to Djalaldinov's wife.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in his video appeal to Vladimir Putin, posted on YouTube on April 14, Djalaldinov told that residents of the Avar village of Kenkhi cannot, without paying huge bribes, receive compensations for their destroyed housing, and the good teachers are "squeezed out" of the village by withdrawing their salaries. On April 16, Kenkhi villagers held a gathering, at which they, speaking into the cameras of reporters of Chechen television, publicly condemned Djalaldinov; and Chechen mass media published plenty of articles refuting Djalaldinov's information.

As reported by Djalaldinov's wife, their house in Kenkhi was approached by masked men at around midnight. They said that they came to save the inhabitants of the house; put the woman and her three daughters into a car, and left them under the bridge.

"Then, they set the house on fire. Residents of the village were banned to say anything about the event under the threat to burn down their houses," said Djalaldinov's wife as quoted today by the "Chernovik".

Let us note here that Djalaldinov himself is now hiding in Dagestan.
