Power agents name attackers of checkpoint near Grozny

Chechen law enforcers have identified the militants, who attacked the policemen, who were on duty at the checkpoint in the Grozny District of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today two men attacked the above checkpoint. One of them blew himself up; the other was killed by policemen. The Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports about six wounded policemen; three of whom are in extremely grave condition.

"The bandits, who attacked the checkpoint in the Grozny District, are established: Shamil Djanaraliev, 27, and Akhmed Inalov, 25. They both are residents of the Zavodskoi District of Grozny and lived in the settlement of Kirov," a source from the Chechen MIA told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the source, it has been established that Djanaraliev and Inalov came up to the checkpoint located in the outskirt of the village of Alkhan-Kala in the Grozny District, having a bomb and a grenade on them. Then, Djanaraliev blew himself up, wounding six employees of the Bashkirian MIA, who were on duty at the checkpoint, while Inalov attacked one of the policemen trying to capture his service pistol, and was shot dead.
