Gunmen in masks abduct local resident
Unknown gunmen in masks abducted a local resident in the Shelkovskaya district (in the north of Chechnya) on the night of August 11-12.
"Last night, a group of gunmen in masks and camouflage uniforms abducted Dzhayruddin Nazhuyev, a resident of the village of Paraboch, Chechnya's Shelkovskaya district. According to available information, four people arrived at the settlement in two Zhiguli cars without number plates, smashed the front door and rushed into the house on Terskaya Street which Mr Nazhuyev lived in. Threatening the master of the house with physical violence, the bandits made him go out in the street, forced him in one of the cars, and took him away in an unknown direction," a source in the Chechen Interior Ministry said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
A criminal investigation in the abduction has been launched.
