Sasha Kulaeva: militants disseminate disinformation about terror act in Brussels to intensify panic

The information about involvement of Dovbash brothers from Belarus and Marat Yunusov, a native of Dagestan, in the terror act in Brussels has been reported by unreliable sources, and such disinformation only intensifies the panic and is beneficial for terrorists. This was stated by Sasha Kulaeva, the head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, two blasts occurred at the airport of Brussels, and another explosion in the metro. According to the official information, 31 people died, and about 250 others were injured.

The dissemination of disinformation about the terror acts is beneficial to their organizers and complicates the work of law enforcers, Sasha Kulaeva believes. According to her, the number of media, which disseminated the information, includes the "Russia Today" and the "Sputnik-Belarus".

On March 22, the "Euroradio" interviewed Ivan and Alexei Dovbash. According to them, they live in Belgium since 2000 and they had no problems with the police. One of the brothers visited his homeland at the time of the terror acts.

Marat Yunusov has expressed his intention to sue the media, which started rumours about his involvement in the terror acts. This was stated on air of the "Belarus 1" TV Channel by Sultan Temeev, a resident of the Grodno District, who was introduced as a cousin of Marat Yunusov.

The responsibility for the terror act in Brussels has been claimed by the "Islamic State" (IS) (banned in Russia, note of the "Caucasian Knot"), the "SITE Intel Group" reports.
