Yashin dates presentation of his report on Kadyrov to anniversary of deportation of Vainakhs

The date of presenting the report on the situation in Chechnya was not accidentally coincident with the anniversary of deportation of Chechens and Ingushes; is an attempt to emphasize solidarity with the Chechen people, who are the first feels to feel the effects of Ramzan Kadyrov's ruling, said Ilya Yashin, Co-Chair of the PARNAS Party and the author of the report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the presentation of Yashin's report "A Threat to National Security" was held today at the Moscow-based office of the PARNAS. It was interrupted by a message about a bomb planted in the building, after which journalists were evacuated from the office.

Besides, in the morning, unidentified persons threw paintballs at the windows of the office. During the presentation, people from the audience come up onto the stage and began throwing "US dollars" at Yashin. Cries were also heard from the audience accusing Yashin of lack of patriotism.

The event has attracted a great attention of mass media; it was attended by reporters of French, American, British, Czech, Polish, Latvian and Estonian mass media.

Tomasz Kulakowski, the chief correspondent of the Polish channel "TW Polska", and Miroslav Karas, a correspondent of the Czech channel "Česká Televize", said that their media are mainly interested in the links of Kadyrov with the murder of the oppositional leader Boris Nemtsov.

According to researches, conducted by Ilya Yashin, President Putin "had provided Kadyrov with exclusive authorities" and for 10 years "pumped up Kadyrov's regime with money, and political and organizational resources."

Mr Yashin has noted that human rights organizations are operating in Chechnya, but they are exposed to pressure; and their activities are associated with enormous risks.

He expressed the view that Chechnya does not obey to Russian laws, and that Kadyrov should be "immediately dismissed" from the post of the head of the republic.
