Ingush law enforcers set free young woman detained at request of Interpol

A 20-year-old female resident of Ingushetia, wanted by the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol for Austria, was allowed to go home after a conversation. The mother of the young woman claims that "there was an attempt to take the daughter to Syria under false pretences."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 8, the law enforcement bodies announced the detention of a 20-year-old young woman, wanted by Interpol on suspicion of terrorism. According to the sources, the detainee is a native of Ingushetia, and she recently returned from Austria.

The female native of the Sunzha District was detained in Ingushetia at the request of the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol for Austria. This was reported by Akhmad Dzeitov, Acting Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Ingushetia.

According to Madina, the mother of the young woman, wanted by Interpol, their family members left Ingushetia in 2005. The mother has added that a friend of her daughter, a Turkish woman, wore a hijab.

On August 15, 2015, the Madina's daughter went to her work, but did not return home. "As it turned out, her friend, a Turkish woman, took her to Turkey and then disappeared," said Madina. According to her, at present, her daughter is "sitting at home with her uncle."

In his interview to the "Caucasian Knot", ethnographer Akhmet Yarlykapov, Senior Researcher of the Centre for the Caucasus and Regional Security of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (known as MGIMO), engaged in the studies of the Caucasus, has said that the "Islamic State" (IS, earlier ISIL.
