Head of Nogai District supports Ruslan Nasyrov

Ruslan Nasyrov, a deputy of the rural assembly of the village of Kumli, suspected of involvement in the armed underground, is the principal enemy of extremism. This was stated by participants of the rally in his support. The protestors were supported by Kazmagomed Yanbulatov, the head of the Nogai District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, residents of the village of Terekli-Mekteb have held a rally with the demand to stop the criminal proceedings against Ruslan Nasyrov. During the rally, the head of the Nogai District has stated that he has no right to dismiss from office the current head of Kumli and suggested the Kumli villagers to organize the village meeting and make a decision on the issue.

On September 13, Ruslan Nasyrov won the elections of deputies to the rural assembly and planned to run for the post of head of Kumli village. On October 9, he was detained after a search, during which law enforcers found a gun and a grenade. Supporters of Ruslan Nasyrov believe that the weapons were planted to him.

At the rally, the speakers have characterized Ruslan Nasyrov only positively and accused Kazmagomed Yanbulatov that he prevents Ruslan Nasyrov from becoming the head of the village. In response, Kazmagomed Yanbulatov has assured that he was never involved in the electoral processes in Kumli.

The head of the Nogai District has also stated that he offered Ruslan Nasyrov to take the post of his deputy, but the latter refused.

According to Ali Arslanov, a teacher of the madrassa in the village of Terekli-Mekteb, Ruslan Nasyrov is well-known not as a supporter, but as a bright fighter against Wahhabism.
