Residents of Dagestan report on power agents inspecting houses in village of Sogratl
On September 16, power agents started to inspect houses in the village of Sogratl. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by a woman from the village, who introduced herself as Muminat.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 15, the CTO regime was introduced in the Gunib District. Local residents believe that the actions of the power agents are connected with the murder of an engineer of the "Sogratl" agricultural company Magomedgadji Zaidov.
"Soldiers and law enforcers selectively visit houses of Sogratl residents. They apparently have some information, since they visit not every house. They say that they are checking the documents of the residents," the local woman said.
According to her, after several visits to the residents' houses, a number of local residents were brought to the local police station. However, they were released later.
The law enforcement authorities check relatives of young people, who may have connections with the armed underground, and local Salafis, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by another resident of the Gunib District, who preferred to remain anonymous.
"Young people are now fond of non-traditional trends of Islam, and if you are a Salafi, then you automatically find yourself at risk. All of them are registered at the police station, and every time when something happens, they immediately fall under inspections," the local resident has said.
According to him, in general, local residents feel no much inconvenience in connection with the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime.
