Explosion triggered near house of head of cancer institute in Rostov-on-Don

The explosion of an unidentified bomb caused no injuries and no damage, said the spokesman for the regional department of the MIA.

The explosion occurred today in the yard of a private house in the Pervomaisky District of Rostov-on-Don at about 0:30 a.m. According to the above MIA branch, there are no casualties and victims, as well as no damage of the house.

The police conduct a check and have appointed an expertise, the Rostov News Agency (RNA) reports quoting the MIA spokesman.

The house, where the explosion occurred, belongs to Oleg Kit, the Director of the Rostov Cancer Institute, who lives there with his family. He refused to make any comments, the RNA reports.

It is supposed that a grenade was thrown into the yard of Oleg Kit's house, the edition "161.ru" adds with reference to the press service of the regional MIA.
