Investigators explain Darya Polyudova's statement on Kuban's separation from Russia by her attitude to Vladimir Putin

The investigation into the calls for separatism instituted against Krasnodar activist Darya Polyudova has been completed. According to investigators, when calling on to intergrate Kuban into Ukraine, Darya Polyudova was motivated by her "personal dislike for the incumbent president."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Darya Polyudova, one of the organizers of the failed march for federalization of Kuban, is accused of inciting extremism and disintegration of Russia. On February 25, after six months spent in custody, Darya Polyudova was released from the SIZO (pre-trial prison) on recognizance not to leave.

In late March, the case was returned to the investigators, since the motives had not been taken into account. "Re-investigation was carried out at lightning speed," said Andrei Sabinin, an advocate of the activist.

According to the case materials, the Darya Polyudova's calls for separation of the Krasnodar Territory and the overthrow of the existing political system were motivated by her "personal dislike for the incumbent president" and "hatred to the current political regime," the "Kommersant" reports.

According to the newspaper, linguistic and psychological examinations carried out in the course of the investigation have confirmed that the texts published by Darya Polyudova contain extremist appeals.

At present, the activist is to face a new version of indictment.
