Chechen residents report demolition of militant's family house in Gudermes District

On December 18, in the village of Koshkeldy, Gudermes District of Chechnya, a family home of a member of the armed underground was demolished, local residents report.

It is already at least the 11th house of militants' relatives demolished in Chechnya after the December 5 Ramzan Kadyrov's statement that family houses of members of the armed underground would be demolished under the principle of collective responsibility, as counted by the "Caucasian Knot".

At night on December 18, power agents demolished the house of Shabanov family, said a local resident named Khasan. According to his story, the son of the house owners is in the mountains, among militants.

However, a Chechen law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that there was no militant named Shabanov among those killed on December 4 during the attack on Grozny.

It is noteworthy that on December 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that nobody, including the head of Chechnya, has the right to conduct any pre-trial executions, and added that law enforcement bodies are carrying out a check aimed to establish those who had burned down houses of militants' relatives in Chechnya.
