Today, policemen came to the Makhachkala children's education centre "Zabota" (Care), the former Children's Club "Amanat", and demanded to close the institution, the employees of the centre report.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Children's Club "Amanat", which belonged to the Salafi community, came to the attention of law enforcement bodies in 2013. Then, the police demanded to stop the activities of the club for lack of licenses. According to the administrator of the club, the check was conducted by armed men, who exerted psychological pressure on children.
According to educators, policemen arrived in the Makhachkala Children's Centre "Zabota" at about 7:40 a.m., justifying their demand to close the centre by the respective order issued by the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
"They demand to close the institution and not to let workers and girls wearing hijabs in. They failed to present any written prescriptions or justifications for the closure," the newspaper "Chernovik" quotes the employees of the "Zabota" as saying.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that from October 31 to November 6, in Makhachkala, the work of the private kindergarten "Happy Child" was suspended." The managers of the institution reported that the employees wearing hijabs were checked.
