Policeman killed in shelling in Nalchik

In the morning on Wednesday, in Nalchik, a policeman was lost in an attack committed by unidentified persons.

The incident took place around 8:40 a.m. Moscow time in Ashurov Street, said a law enforcement source of the KBR. According to preliminary reports, the attackers shelled a PPS (post-and-patrol service) outfit.

The "Interfax" reports that currently the scene of the incident is cordoned off; and the attackers are searched for.

The RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" reports, referring to its source in law enforcement bodies, that an employee of the UGIBDD (traffic police department) of the MIA of the KBR was killed on the way to his workplace. He was shot dead at close range and died on the spot.
