Three witnesses questioned at trial of journalist Reznik in Rostov-on-Don
On October 6, the Leninsky District Court in Rostov-on-Don, which is considering the case of Sergey Reznik, a journalist, blogger and political scientist, accused of false denunciation and insulting the authorities, interrogated three witnesses for the prosecution, said Natalia Reznik, Sergey's wife.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the victims in the case are Andrei Glinkin, an operative agent; Roman Klimov, a former district deputy prosecutor; and Dmitry Ischenko, an employee of the division for combating extremism of the Chief Department for the Rostov Region of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
On October 6, the court questioned Igor Khoroshilov, a journalist and Sergey's acquaintance, and two law enforcers.
"Journalist Igor Khoroshilov said that he knows Sergey... The other witnesses – two law enforcers – were questioned in the case of a false accusation and insulting operative agent Glinkin," said Natalia Reznik.
"If the judge... follows the law, then immediately two episodes of abuse of authorities will fall out. But not only that: everyone will at once see the unjust nature of the first sentence: it also has an episode of 'insulting'," said the witness Khoroshilov.
