Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan put under CTO regime

At night on August 20, the in Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, where power agents were shelled by unidentified persons, was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, said the spokesman of the Dagestani operative headquarters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on August 20, an armed clash burst out the village of Gubden, Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan. Policemen went into action with a group of suspected militants, said a source from local law enforcement bodies.

"The CTO regime was introduced at 1:00 a.m.; the area is being screened; and other activities are underway aimed to find and neutralize the militants," the "Interfax" quotes its source from the operative headquarters.

According to the source, the criminal grouping consists of three to five persons.

Let us remind you that on August 19, at 11:00 p.m. Moscow time, in Toturbiev Street of Khasavyurt, in an armed clash, unidentified criminals wounded an employee from the Department of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) for Dagestan. Also, an occasional passer-by was wounded and died this morning in hospital.
