Krasnodar Territory is under state of emergency because of inflow of Ukrainian refugees
The Krasnodar Territory has introduced a state of emergency in connection with the increase of the number of forced migrants from Ukraine. This was reported on August 4 by the regional administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that because of the inflow of refugees from the eastern part of Ukraine a state of emergency has been introduced starting from July 10 in the Astrakhan Region, the Republic of Kalmykia, and the Stavropol Territory. For the same reason, a state of emergency has also been introduced in the Rostov and Volgograd Regions, and it is still valid. Adygea has introduced a state of emergency starting from July 14.
The resolution on the introduction of a special regime in the Krasnodar Territory has been signed by Governor Alexander Tkachov. This was reported on August 4 by the website of the regional administration.
As of July 29, the Krasnodar Territory accepted 23,100 refugees from Ukraine. Of them, 19,400 refugees were accommodated by their relatives and friends living in the Krasnodar Territory. The other refugees were settled through the residential reserve fund of the Krasnodar Territory. This was reported on July 30 by the website of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) Department for the Krasnodar Territory.
