Three Russian soldiers hit landmine in Chechnya

Three Russian servicemen hit a homemade landmine during engineer reconnaissance in the Vedeno district of Chechnya in the morning of April 29. "One soldier died on the way to a hospital, the other two are in grave condition," a source at the republican military commandant's office said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent. The military are inspecting the area of the incident. Chechen rebels have become much more active lately as it is spring and greenery has appeared, the source noted.
