In Dagestan, unidentified persons set fire to house of man suspected of killing sheikh

Today, in Dagestan, a house belonging to Shikhmirza Labazanov, one of the suspects of committing the murder of sheikh Said Atsaev (Chirkeisky) was partially burned. Relatives of Shikhmirza Labazanov filed a complaint about arson.

A message about the fire was received to the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". The author of the SMS wrote that the house of the suspect of the murder of sheikh was burned in the village of Chirkata.

Shikhmirza Labazanov was detained during the special operation held on December 8, 2012. According to the information of power agents, three detainees were members of the "Gimry" grouping of militants and were involved in the bombing committed by a female suicide bomber on August 28 in the house of sheikh located in the village of Chirkei of the Buynaksk District.

At the time of the fire, the house was empty. "At present, no one lives in the house. After the detention of Shikhmirza, his wife left the house, and his cousin looked after the house," the "Caucasian Knot" was told by one of the witnesses to the incident who preferred to remain anonymous.

In his turn, one of the relatives of Shikhmirza Labazanov does not rule out that sheikh followers could deliberately set fire to the house.

"I think that they could do it out of revenge. Earlier, shop, technical centre and a petrol station owned by family members of Magomedali Amirkhanov, who also suspected of the murder were set on fire," stated a relative of the suspect.
