Journalist Akhmednabiev attacked in Dagestan

On January 11, at 09:30 p.m. Moscow time, in Dagestan, unidentified persons shot in the direction of Akhmednabi Akhmednabiev, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The journalist was not wounded in an attack.

The incident occurred near the house of Akhmednabi Akhmednabiev, in the village of Semender. According to the story of Akhmednabi Akhmednabiev, a black Lada Priora car with tinted windows and without state registration number plates stood next to the house for a while. However, the shots were made not from it, but from the opposite side. After the shots, the car left the place of the incident at high speed.

The name of Akhmednabi Akhmednabiev was mentioned in a "list of persons to be liquidated" printed on leaflets spread in September 2009 in the capital of Dagestan, in which anonymous authors promised to take targeted revenge for policemen and civilians. The list included advocates, journalists and human rights activists well-known in Dagestan in total, 16 persons.
