Tonight, in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, three buildings were burned. They belonged to the family members of Magomedali Amirkhanov, detained on suspicion of the murder of Sheikh Said Atsaev. The relatives of Magomedali Amirkhanov claim the deliberate arson.

Magomedali Amirkhanov was detained during the special operation held on December 8. According to the information of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), Magomedali Amirkhanov and Shikhmirza Labazanov and Magomed Gadjiev who were detained together with him were members of the "Gimry" grouping of militants and were involved in the terror act committed on August 28 in the house of Sheikh located in the village of Chirkei of the Buynaksk District. They were detained in custody by the court.

The fire occurred today at about 03:00 a.m. The shop, technical centre and petrol station owned by the Amirkhanov family and located on the highway Buynaksk-Botlikh, 1.5 km from the village of Ashilta, burned down completely prior to the arrival of fire trucks. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a relative of the Amirkhanov family.

According to the relative's story, the buildings were poured over with gasoline and set on fire by unidentified persons who drove up at night in a white Lada Priora car without state registration number plates. The relatives estimate the total damage in the amount of more than 3 million roubles.

Officials from the unit on duty of the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) have confirmed the information about the fire. However, they have stated that it has not been revealed yet who owned the property and what the cause of fire has been.
