One casualty and three missing persons after earthquake in Azerbaijan

As a result of an earthquake in the north-western part of the country, a woman from the Balaken District died; and the Zagatala District Police received applications about three missing persons.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the earthquake of the magnitude of 7 points out of the maximum of 12 happened on October 14 at 3:13 p.m. local time (2:13 p.m. Moscow time) in the north-west of Azerbaijan.

The earthquake caused a head injury and subsequent death in hospital of Zinadova Hadjabanu Mohammed gyzy, born in 1936, a villager from the Balaken District, said a source from the district hospital.

"Policemen and a medical team are kept on duty in the localities that are most affected by the earthquake. Currently, victims are mostly in need of psychological help and support," the "News-Azerbaijan"- quoted a source from the police division of Zagatala.
