Contest of social entrepreneurship in Kalmykia had three winners

Larissa Emchenova, Sanal Namruev and Naran Ulanov have won the contest of social business projects held in Kalmykia. The best ideas were the proposals to open a private kindergarten; to launch buses on Elista routes adapted for people with disabilities, and organize the collection points for recycling old tires.

The contest received 34 applications. The winners received 50,000 roubles each, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Larissa Emchenova suggested opening a private kindergarten, which could educate children at the rates affordable to all social groups. Thus, the child development centre could address the acute shortage of places in kindergartens.

"Great thank to the jury that they paid attention to my project, because the future is impossible to imagine without children. First of all, we need to pay attention to upbringing of children. As the saying goes, as you sow, so you reap," said the winner.

Sanal Namruev proposed to launch new, reliable and comfortable low-floor buses, able to transport people with disabilities, older people and children at the fares, by 30-40 percent below the market ones.

"Great thanks to the contest commission, who have evaluated our ideas. Now, most of the city residents move in Gazel minivans, but I hope that with the Fund 'Our Future' soon we'll use more spacious and comfortable buses," said the winner.

Naran Ulanov has presented the idea of organizing reception and primary processing centres of used tires. According to his idea, these centres will sell the resulting raw materials to factories for further processing of rubber.
