In Rostov Region dog kills a child of two

In the evening on May 18, in the village of Oktiabrskoe, Zernograd District of the Rostov Region, a dog bit a girl of two to death.

According to preliminary data, the mother left her daughter born in 2010 for a few minutes unattended. The girl went into the neighbours' yard, where she was attacked by a dog chained there, the "Interfax" reports.

The girl was taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save her life, the Rostov News Agency reports with reference to Valery Chekryshev, the spokesman of the local Investigatory Committee.

"At the conclusion of an expert, the dog has no signs of rabies or aggressive behaviour. At the moment it is isolated," notes the statement of the Committee.
