In June 61 persons lost in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In June no less than 104 people, included 61 lost and 43 injured, were killed and wounded in the armed conflict in the Northern Caucasus. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", based on the own materials and official information from open sources.

The perished include 31 suspected of involvement in the armed underground, 17 power agents and 13 civilians. At least 36 power agents and seven civilians were wounded.

Most people were killed in Dagestan – 36. In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) – 15 persons were killed, in Chechnya – nine, in Ingushetia – one person. Among the injured 20 people were wounded in Dagestan, 11 – in Chechnya, seven in the KBR and five – in Ingushetia.

During the first summer month 12 terror act and explosions were committed; at least 27 armed conflicts, six attacks on civilians, and nine attacks on power agents occurred. Law enforcement agencies failed to prevent eight explosions. Once – in Dagestan – the legal regime of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) was announced.

Over the last month seven explosions occurred in Chechnya, three in Dagestan, one – in Ingushetia, and one – in the KBR. As a result, six people perished and nine were wounded, all of them – in Chechnya. The deceased were four civilians and two power agents. Among the wounded seven were power agents and two – civilians.
