"Products in Exchange for Work" humanitarian program carried out in Chechnya
"Products in Exchange for Work" is a name of one of the programs carried out by the Czech charitable organization "Man in Trouble".
The program is aimed at creating workplaces for people who have no chance of finding jobs for any of several reasons. The condition is that the organization gives people food products instead of money for the work they do. One man gets 1.5 bags of flour, 30 kilograms of sugar and 5-6 liters of milk on average.
The program has been implemented since February 2002. Over 2 thousand people have found work in this time. The groups of workers clean territories of plants, organizations and in private sector, according to program coordinator Rizvan Batukayev.
