MP candidate is chased by assassinators
On the night of October 30, two unknown men fired at Zviad Chokheli, a candidate MP for "New Rules", when he was going out of a porch of his house. A flak jacket saved him. A car parked near the same porch detonated in several minutes.
The prosecutor's office of Tbilisi's Gldani-Nadzaladevsky district, where the attack occurred, has instituted criminal proceedings by the article "attempt of calculated homicide". The attackers have not been identified yet. District Prosecutor Lena Kapanadze informed Chokheli had applied to the prosecutor's office several days before the attempt. He had claimed an attack against him could be made. As Zviad Chokheli explained, that was exactly the reason for him to wear the flak jacket.
