Russian Foreign Minister to hold separate meetings with Adjarian leader and Abkhazian Premier

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov is expected to hold separate bilateral meetings with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze and Abkhazian Prime Minister Raul Khadzhimba.

"The situation in Georgia as well as possible ways of its stabilization is supposed to be a subject matter of these meetings," reported a diplomatic source.

He reminded that Igor Ivanov met with South Osetian leader Eduard Kokoity in Moscow the day before.

Earlier the Russian Foreign Minister stated Russia has recognized the independence and territorial integrity of Georgia and does recognize it now. "It is Russia's position of principle, and there have been no changes in it," stressed Mr. Ivanov.
