Four people abducted in Achkhoy-Martan district of Chechnya

Four young people were abducted in Chechnya's Achkhoy-Martan district on the night of November 23-24. They were forcibly taken from their houses by unidentified gunmen in masks. The whereabouts of the abducted and motives of the abduction are not known yet. No one of the abducted has been a member of illegal armed units or official security agencies.

Two of the abducted are residents of Achkhoy-Martan, the other two are from Katar-Yurt and the Novy Sharoy settlement, reported Zhabrail Bakriyev, an official in the district bureau of the Russian President's envoy for human rights and freedoms in Chechnya.

District law-enforcement agencies are searching for people involved in this crime.
