Two prosecutors taken hostages a year ago were released in Chechnya

Deputy Public Prosecutors of the Shatoisky and Shalinsky districts of Chechnya Nadezhda Pogosova and Aleksey Klimov, kidnapped in Grozny on December 27, 2002, were released during a special operation by republican security agencies, an informed source at the Chechen Interior Ministry told Interfax on Friday.

The released hostages currently stay beyond the territory of Chechnya, stressed the representative of the Chechen Interior Ministry. Their state is satisfactory and there is no threat to their life and health, he said.
