Alan Chochiev faces demand to stop criticizing Dzasokhov
Relatives of the South Osetian public figure Alan Chochiev arrested in Vladikavkaz report he is still in prison and continues the hunger strike he started on October 19. Alan Chochiev's relatives have no reliable information about a state of his health as even his mother and sister are not allowed to meet him. His lawyers are not pretty zealous; but it is impossible to demand a lot from them as it was problematic enough to find a lawyer in the republic ready to deal with this case. For today, the lawyers mention only one demand made of Alan as a prerequisite for him to be released. He is demanded to stop criticizing Dzasokhov.
There is also information that chairman of the movement "For Supremacy of the Law", State Duma Deputy and human rights activist well-known in the republic Magkaev was savagely beaten in Vladikavkaz. He is in hospital now in grave condition. Recently Magkaev have coordinated the action of pretest against Alan Chochiev's arrest that has been held by the interior ministry's veterans on Svoboda Square in Vladikavkaz.
