Revival Union intends to launch manifestation in Tbilisi
Supporters of the Revival Union, led by Ajarian leader Aslan Abashidze, are gathered today in the Philharmonic Hall in the center of Tbilisi to celebrate the success in the November 2 parliamentary elections.
They also intend to launch a peaceful manifestation along the Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.
The supporters of the Revival Union protest against the recent protest rallies launched by the democratic opposition and claim it may trigger destabilization in the country.
With more than 90% of votes counted by the Central Election Commission, the Revival Union takes a leading place in the elections with 21.01% of votes, followed by the pro-presidential bloc For New Georgia with 20.25%. Saakashvili - National Movement takes the third place with 18.55% of votes.
