Kabardino-Balkaria: attempts on militiamen from Elborus ROVD

On July 11, in the Elborus District of Kabardino-Balkaria, attempts were undertaken on employees of the district interior division (ROVD). When the car of the ROVD head was passing by, an explosion was triggered; and a self-made bomb was detected and neutralized under the bottom of the car of the head of the criminal militia of the same ROVD. Nobody suffered in these incidents.

The first one took place in the roadside near Neitrino village.

The blown up bomb was a radio-triggered shell-less self-made explosive device with power of about five kilos of trotyl equivalent, a source in law enforcement bodies told the RIA "Novosti".

The bomb detected under the bottom of the car of the head of the criminal militia of the district had the power of 400 grams in trotyl equivalent. "The car was parked in the yard of a multi-storey apartment block in Elborus Avenue," The ITAR-TASS was told at the local Investigatory Department of the ICPO of Russia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on July 11 in Kabardino-Balkaria several radio re-transmitters were damaged by explosions and arsons.

At about 3:27 a.m. Moscow time on July 11, in the Chegem District of Kabardino-Balkaria, a VAZ-2107 car parked near the "Nebo" (Heaven) entertainment centre was blown up; fortunately, nobody suffered.
