Scientists of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia wrote a book on history of Southern Caucasus

The edition "Sketches on History of Countries of Southern Caucasus" was written by joint efforts of scientists from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. The monograph contains data on history of each of the three countries from the most ancient times till 1921.

The advance copy of the book in Russian is already available. Historians Armen Hachikyan and Paata Ramishvili are the authors of the history of Armenia and Georgia.

In February, the book will be published in Russian in the number of 1000 copies, which will be disseminated among libraries, educational and scientific institutions of the three countries of the region. Besides, the electronic version will be placed in the Internet.

With support of the EU the book will be translated into English. It is also planned to translate it into the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Georgian languages. In future, they plan to publish history sketches covering the period from 1921 to 1991.

    Law enforcers have conducted a search of the home of Tatiana Polivanova, an activist, and her family members in Taganrog in connection with a fraud case with land plots of the Sochi National Park. The Polivanova's organization provided legal assistance to dozens of gardeners whose plots were seized by the court within this case.
