Eurasia Foundation has awarded Armenia grants to sum of 9 million US dollars since 1995

The Eurasia Foundation had awarded Armenia 503 grants to the total sum of 9 million US dollars since 1995, announced President of the Foundation Charles William Maynes.

According to him, these grants were assigned mainly for the development of private enterprise, civil society and local government in Armenia.

Maynes also said the South Caucasus Cooperation Program had been established by the Foundation in 1998. Its purpose is to facilitate the process of bridging among leading organizations of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Since the day when the Eurasia Foundation launched this program it has granted over 3.6 million US dollars supporting trans-boundary initiatives that affect problems of the whole South Caucasian region.

    Law enforcers have conducted a search of the home of Tatiana Polivanova, an activist, and her family members in Taganrog in connection with a fraud case with land plots of the Sochi National Park. The Polivanova's organization provided legal assistance to dozens of gardeners whose plots were seized by the court within this case.
