Volgograd residents complain of Artemiy Lebedev to prosecutor's office
The initiative group of the project named "Volgograd Breakthrough" has filed a claim to the prosecutor's office of Volgograd against the well-known Runet designer and thousand-reader-blogger Artemiy Lebedev in the context of his permanent use of obscene language in his blog. The applicants see it as offence of all Russians.
"Lebedev knows that his blog is visited by up to 150,000 users every day - it's comparable and even exceeds the audience of the leading Russian media," the applicants note.
"His public use of non-normative lexicon inflicts irreparable harm to the psycho-emotional condition of the whole generation of creative young people, who perceive it as a standard behaviour of a successful person. We prepare a claim to the prosecutor's office with a demand to stop the unpunished use of abusive vocabulary in the open access of the Internet," the IA "News of Volgograd" quotes the applicants.
The claim against Lebedev has caused an active discussion in his blog. As of today the post on this topic already has 552 comments. Most of the readers support the blogger.
Artemiy himself is rather sceptical about this initiative. He marks in his comments that the prosecutor's office usually does not accept such cases.
