In Dagestan, Imam of rural mosque assassinated
Tinamagomed Ramazanov, 34, Imam of a rural mosque, was shot dead in the evening on November 1 by unidentified persons in Bavtugai village, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan.
The Imam was assassinated from firearms on his way home from the mosque after the evening prayer. This was reported to the "Interfax" Agency by a spokesman of the press service of the MIA.
The ITAR-TASS adds that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the murder, and investigation is underway.
