Three witnesses established in Estemirova's murder case, the fourth one is searched

The law enforcement bodies engaged in investigating the circumstances of kidnapping and subsequent murder of Natalia Estemirova, an employee of the HRC "Memorial", are searching two cars and the young woman, who was in immediate proximity from the place of the incident at the moment of kidnapping.

So far, the investigation of the criminal case on the fact of Natalia Estemirova's kidnapping and subsequent murder gave no essential results. The inspectors do not know the exact number of kidnappers, how they were dressed and how they managed to get unobstructed to the territory of the neighbouring republic. Nevertheless, they managed to find some new data.

"On the fact of kidnapping of an employee of the HRC 'Memorial' Natalia Estemirova, three witnesses have been established. One more witness is searched. According to our data, it was a girl or a young woman who was literally several meters away from the place of the incident and could see distinctly the kidnappers of the human rights defender. Unfortunately, other eyewitnesses were rather far from the place and cannot even tell whether the criminals were in masks or not," a source in power agencies of Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
