Evkurov calls murder of sportsman in Ingushetia unjustified

Ingushetia continues investigating the murder of Adam Aushev, 21, a resident of Surkhakhi village and younger brother of militant Magomed Aushev, liquidated during a special operation in Barsuki village, Nazran District, last December.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the incident, the FSB Department (FSBD) stated that Adam Aushev was killed by response fire after he had disobeyed to demands of the MIA and FSBD agents to stop and shelled them.

As it became known to the oppositional website "Ingushetia.Org", the elders of the Aushev kin decided, at their meeting on May 1 in Verkhnie Achaluki village, to address the Republic's authorities and demand to make responsible those guilty of murdering their relative - an athlete, well-known outside the republic.

According to the website, yesterday, on May 4, President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov invited the elders to his residence and talked to them for 1.5 hours.

According to one of the elders - Osman-Hadji Aushev, the President confessed that there were no facts confirming involvement of the casualty in criminal structures. Also, there were no proofs of his illegal actions. "His murder has no justification, and the inquiry is underway," said the President.

In the version of Aushevs, the murder was ordered and paid for by FSB agents. The President took the investigation of the crime under his personal supervision.
