Law enforcers of Ingushetia search murderers of Troitskaya resident

Law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia are in search of unidentified persons involved in the murder of a resident of Troitskaya village, Sunzha District, committed on Friday, May 1.

Sajd-Khasan Kalimatov, 32, was killed in the yard of his own house in Shefskaya Street. An unidentified criminal called the victim out into the street, and shot him dead point-blank from his firearm. Mr Kalimatov died in situ from the wounds.

"In the place of the incident, seven 9-mm shells were found. The investigation considers several versions of an incident, including murder with the aim to destabilize the situation," the OVD of Sunzha District has reported.

It should be noted here that the casualty's family (Sajid-Ibrakhijmi) is well-known in religious circles of Ingushetia and is respected by the population. According to local residents, they are descendants of one of the most honoured Arab kins.

A local resident Alaudin by name said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent: "Being a worthy member of his kin, the casualty also possessed deep knowledge of religion and could quote the Koran by heart. And in general, he was an exclusively decent person. I just can't imagine who and with what aim could make this senseless murder. As far as I know, Mr Kalimatov was not engaged in any public or religious activity."
